We have an opportunity for you to join the Central IT team within Learning Technologies Group (LTG). We are responsible for supporting, optimising and securing a Global infrastructure for the Group. The team is mainly split between the US and Europe and additionally provides support for Desktops, Servers, Active Directory, Google Workspace, Azure, VPN’s and other network infrastructure.

We have dealt with tremendous growth and this will continue. While this is a hands-on role the opportunity to be involved in planning and consultancy across the wider Group is there. You will be the main contact for the US part of the team when it comes to Systems, Infrastructure and Networks and work with the wider Infrastructure team on standards and best practice and ensuring our support is consistent Globally.

This is a role where you can make a real difference as we continue to grow. Whilst still being hands-on there is an opportunity to share and further develop your expertise within the wider Group.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with the deployment and support of systems and infrastructure and ensure the proper maintenance of management tools and documentation is in place
  • Provide assistance on technical, performance and operational analysis for all assigned systems and infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvement to senior management
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert within the team for assigned systems and infrastructure
  • Develop, implement and maintain knowledge base articles that can be used within the team to provide best practice and can also be used to provide exceptional customer support
  • Monitor and maintain established policies and procedures to ensure conformance with industry standards and Group policies.

Skills and Experience

  • Supporting and managing Windows and Linux Servers, and hypervisors
  • Previous experience of scripting languages (e.g. powershell and python)
  • Hands on experience supporting and managing firewalls and switches
  • Professional Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, CEH, SANS, ISC) are beneficial
  • Experience with Active Directory, Azure, Google Workspace, Networking, DNS, DHCP, LAN and WAN
  • Analytic and Communications skills
  • Be able to show the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Solid awareness of infrastructure security best practices


LTG support a hybrid work environment. Ideally as there is an infrastructure element to this role we are looking in North Carolina but other locations can be considered for the right candidate
