We're on the look out for an experienced Head of Project Management to join us at PDT during a particularly exciting time!

Working with some of the most talented and inspiring global inclusion and diversity professionals, this position requires a strong aptitude for Global Project Management ensuring projects are administered and monitored for cost, quality, and timely delivery. This will be done by ensuring that all projects adhere to the best practices & standard approaches for project management as well as anticipating client needs to discover opportunities and position PDT’s full solution portfolio. You will also engage with internal teams to build the solutions plan that delivers optimum business and client value. You will be working alongside a team of people including, inclusion trainers, account managers and project managers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Line Management of the Project Managers & Coordinators
  • Managing and assist in the management of outsource relationships with external service providers such as Producers and Associates.
  • Distribute incoming work among the team to ensure equitable workloads, and that client allocation is aligned with business requirements
  • Regular reporting against budgets, delivery against client Service Level Agreements
  • Ensuring that efficiencies are made is also an important feature of this role along with driving project management skills and capability improvement across the business
  • Negotiate contracts & close agreements to maximise profits

Communications and Relationships

  • Engage with clients at all levels from director down, create trusted advisor insider relationships with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors to sustain a long-term relationships
  • Collaborate with functional leaders and project team members within PDT to executive
  • Build and maintain a constructive and positive relationship with all services and clients within the group
  • Liaise with internal customers, associates and external suppliers to maintain relationships and ensure continued professionalism

  • Critically reflect on own competence and actively participate in regular performance reviews
  • Identify and participate in learning and development opportunities to enhance personal skillset

The post holder will have the ability to understand the unique business requirements of the organisation

be a thorough in their approach, however will be able to judge and make decisions. The role is best suited to someone who enjoys a diverse workload with plenty of variety. We want somebody who:

  • Demonstrate success in managing a project management office (5+ years experience in a PMO context) and able to understand unique business requirements of the organisation , (plan delivery, risk and issue management, etc.)
  • Broad understanding of project management methodologies, gained in project delivery roles, i.e. not just theory including administration of stage and gate processes
  • Excellent It Skills
  • Strong analytical skills; including experience of business process analysis and mapping
  • Experience leading remote team with effective leadership & people management & communication skills as well as great team building and pragmatic problem solving skills with local, international and multicultural staff
  • Ability to balance, prioritise among competing needs
  • Strong interpersonal, written and spoken English communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Able to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders including business owners, project managers, finance business partners and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Although attendance is required at the PDT office in the calendar year, this role is a work from home position which required the post holder to be motivated, disciplined and able to work under their own initiative.
