We are looking for a senior software engineer. At PeopleFluent, we have an established suite of enterprise web applications to manage the entire employee lifecycle for many renowned brands. Our ideal candidate has a solid engineering background, is a strong team player and does not back away from a challenge. We are a remote team of engineers working alongside many other departments to tackle interesting technical problems, build seamless integrations and create quality solutions. Your ability to communicate seamlessly with others and support the people around you to succeed is just as critical as excellent coding and technical architecture skills. We are looking for someone who cares about the details, can constructively challenge, consistently seek out opportunities to improve and deliver robust and scalable products that delight our customers.


  • Work with engineers and other disciplines to create robust and scalable solutions
  • Work across all technology stacks within our product
  • Own and deliver complex features, including design and architecture
  • Promote best practices, review code and provide friendly, constructive feedback
  • Remain curious, challenge and be receptive to ideas and opinions from others
  • Continually improve processes, expectations and culture


  • Commercial software development experience
  • A desire to continually improve, learn and help the people around you.
  • Excellent coding and technical architecture skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. You must be able to speak up, listen, ask questions and contribute to discussions. Slack and video calls are key tools for day-to-day communication.
  • Comfortable working with Linux/Unix and shell scripting
  • Experience working with Git and excellent source code management skills
  • Experience working with Node.js, JavaScript, CSS/SASS,
  • Experience working with SQL and No-SQL databases
  • Experience with cloud-based hosting solutions - AWS is preferred
  • Experience with a micro-service architecture and creating scalable software

Desirable, but not necessary

  • iOS development experience
  • Android development experience
  • Experience with HRIS data
