VectorVMS is looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our team. As a Solutions Consultant, you will deploy a consultative approach to uncover customer needs and map them to VectorVMS software in a differentiated way. Duties and Responsibilities:

The Solution Consultant is a technical resource with the advanced ability to develop, position and provide detailed product-specific solution demonstrations during sales cycles.

  • Partner with sales account executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
  • Assist on responses to Request for Proposals during sales cycle.
  • Develop and maintain deep product knowledge which you leverage when solving our customers’ business challenges.
  • Lead discovery workshops to determine customers' challenges and give product demonstrations to align our solution with customer needs.
  • Create proof of concepts that align to the prospect or customer’s challenges.
  • Act as a “Trusted Advisor” to our customers, partners, and internal cross-functional groups.
  • Answer product feature and technical questions from prospects, customers as well as channel partners.
  • Learn and share best practices and re-usable assets with other Solution Consultants to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team.
  • Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiators.
  • Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, webinars, podcasts and trade shows


To be successful in this role you have:

  • 2+ years of pre-sales, sales, solution consulting or sales engineering experience in SaaS technology.
  • Preferred experience working with the Human Resource Technology industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members in remote office locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Strong capability to make and align presentations for the intended audience.
  • Comfortable and confident in public speaking settings.
  • Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, professional services and customer support.
  • Familiarity with multiple PC and mobile device operating systems as well as their supported internet browsers.
  • Travel as necessary.
