LEO is looking for an experienced Account Director to join the team working to reach their sales target by developing and maintaining our relationship with clients, identifying further leads and opportunities with them.

Account Direction and Client Liaison

  • 2-5 years experience in an Account Director role, ideally in a related digital sector
  • Lead the creation and actively participate in the client marketing strategy
  • Establish and maintain a role as consultant/adviser to clients in partnership with delivery teams where appropriate
  • Responsibility for ensuring accurate, timely financial management procedures are implemented by the account team
  • Lead and input into strategic and creative planning sessions
  • Lead, direct and work with the account team to implement strategic plans in a timely and efficient manner, to include but not be limited to:
    • shape and document the long-term strategic direction of the designated accounts
    • build strong relationships with client personnel across all levels
    • ensure account revenues and profitability/awareness of account financial status at all times
    • regularly review and provide accurate phasing of budgets to ensure forecast and capacity/resource reports are accurate
    • negotiate and establish financial arrangements with client
    • implement client satisfaction reviews and ensure outcomes are investigated / implemented
    • ensure that insights into the accounts' needs, preferences, working methodologies, standards, etc. are documented and shared across the team
    • identify and document all relevant decision-makers/influencers at the account, both in areas that we work with currently and in those that do not currently have a relationship with LEO
    • ensure staff ownership and responsibility for projects from all members of staff on the team. Support Project Managers to ensure alignment of projects with strategic plan
    • provide an escalation point for both internal and client project teams
    • maintain strategic overview of accounts, and proactively advise client on new issues/external environment and contribute to strategic planning meetings with client
    • ensure account and programme strategies reflect/take account of new issues/changes in the external environment. Keep abreast of outside issues and events and regularly review impact on plans, programmes and client objectives
    • challenge clients and account teams to maximise the value and impact of solutions

People Management

  • Lead and motivate supervised staff (project managers) to fulfil their potential and assume responsibility / accountability appropriate to their position
  • Lead and motivate supervised staff (Support Desk Administrator, Project Coordinator and Project Assistant) to fulfil their potential and assume responsibility / accountability appropriate to their position
  • Responsible for managing own and team’s chargeability at required levels

Growing Existing Business

  • Establish and maintain a good working knowledge of all LEO & Group companies’ offerings
  • Create and develop opportunities for growing existing business within current client pool for LEO and other LTG companies
  • Identify and follow up new business opportunities within existing client pool
  • Provide sales input to bid and pitches in particular around win themes, pricing strategies and messaging
  • Maintain CRM

LEO

  • Ensure understanding and implementation of all company procedures and standards.
  • Good competency in all company computer packages.
  • Input ideas to the LEO Management Team and take responsibility for agreed aspects of the operating company Business Plan.
  • Have a sound understanding of our relationship with other LTG companies, and the resources and support this offers us.
