We are looking for an experienced, articulate, and passionate education technologist to become a Solutions Engineer (SE). Solutions Engineers provide support to sales that leads to closing new deals. They work directly with Regional Sales Executives in the field to explain how Bridge works to prospects and customers -- how it works best for connecting your organization, aligning your teams, and growing your people.

Solutions Engineers are the primary knowledge resource to Sales for all things technology and education as relates to Bridge. SEs are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. SEs are the key technical advisor and product advocate, thoughtfully considering all alternatives to arrive at best recommendations.

This SE position will partner exclusively with our Corporate Sales Team. The location of this position is flexible, although you must be willing to travel up to 60%.

What you will be doing:

  • Present Bridge as a product (and Learning Technologies Group as a partner) to all stakeholders, from shallow to deep, from storytelling to technical deep-dives.
  • Explain to prospects how learning and performance technology can have a measurable impact on their business
  • Identify technical issues of assigned accounts and develop/position solutions to address concerns.
  • Develop and deliver tailored product demonstrations that are simple but engaging.
  • Assist in responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs (experienced Sales Engineers are successful at addressing client needs during very competitive RFI/RFPs).
  • Articulate user stories to Bridge Product Managers so that they may build elegant solutions solving real world problems.
  • Convey customer requirements to team leadership.
  • Successfully conceptualize and communicate about how products and services affect opportunities and sales exposure within an organization and the education space.
  • Perform customer needs assessments and solution finding sessions.
  • Evaluate and assess partnership opportunities that will enhance our ecosystem and drive additional revenue to the business.
  • Track progress on projects through consistent record-keeping and knowledge-sharing.

Here’s what you will need to know/have:

  • Applied understanding of training, professional development, or human resource management
  • Technical understanding of learning technology, web technology, mobile technology, servers, the internet, etc.
  • Self-motivated, self-reliant, collaborative, and communicative.
  • Articulate and compelling presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills in speech and writing, tailored for the audience.
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
