Learning Technologies Group (LTG) is looking for an experienced commission strategist to review LTG’s current commission plans across all business units, consult with stakeholders, and to re-design the plans into a standardized structure to allow for greater clarity, motivate sales staff, encourage cross-selling across the Group and to streamline the process for calculation, resolution and payments. This will involve looking into system automation.

You will be working for a global leader in the learning and talent management technologies sector. LTG is listed on the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market (‘AIM’) and has grown rapidly through M&A and organic growth; the Group has a market capitalisation of c$1.8 billion. This is projected to be a six-month consulting project, but may be extended further if needed. You will help lead and manage this project in a matrix style environment, providing input and feedback to both the business unit managing directors and the executive management team including HR, Finance and Sales Operations functions.

The Commissions strategist consultant will play a key role in designing the experience for our sales teams by participating in plan design, documentation and implementation of commission software within the organization. You will lead with the re-design of the current compensation structure and process and introduce new plans to coincide with finalization of the 2022 commission scheme and rollout of LTG’s new system platforms. This position will be critical in ensuring commission plans are executed as designed, on time and accurately.

JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:

  • Co-ordination between business unit MDs, Finance, HR and Sales Ops to develop new and or modify existing commission plans to be accommodated within the requirements of the Group’s ERP.
  • Support ongoing review, evaluation, and modeling of existing plans and recommend new commission programs.
  • Provide cost modeling impact on changes to commission plan changes.
  • Understand all Compensation plans to ensure payments are accurate, timely and in compliance.
  • Collaborate with Finance to recommend and implement the automation of commission calculations via system automation.
  • To manage the transition from legacy commission plans to the new agreed format
  • Collaborate with Training to educate our Sales, Operations and other internal teams across LTG.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-7 years of experience in team facing operations/finance roles, supporting sales incentive plans.
  • Experience dealing with different complex commission plans is essential.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and drive to complete tasks quickly, independently, efficiently with the highest level of quality.
  • A 4 year BS degree or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience of implementing commission software.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment & partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to clearly understand finance and HR needs, willingness to debate difficult issues and how to validate the appropriate solution.
  • Ability to speak effectively and present to clients and executive management as a Subject Matter Expert.
  • Expert knowledge in Excel.

COMPENSATION:

  • Daily rate based on experience
