As the Group Financial Planning Analyst, reporting to the Group Reporting Accountant, you will:
- Lead the Group-wide annual budgeting process, coordinating and directing inputs from Finance Managers and Managing Directors and preparing the Board report summary.
- Prepare and maintain a rolling forecast model for the Group, including a P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
- Assist in M&A activities by preparing forecasts for target acquisitions
- Prepare covenant reporting packs for the bank
- Assist on the preparation of statutory accounts including Group consolidated Annual and Interim financial statements as well as subsidiary accounts and be a point of contact for external auditors
- Assist on the preparation of monthly Group consolidated management accounts for circulation to the plc Board
- Research and apply new accounting standards across the Group
- Identify and align differences in local GAAP reporting to IFRS for global subsidiaries
- Administer the Group’s share option schemes and filings
- Identify and implement financial reporting and system improvements
- Prepare some individual company monthly management accounts where necessary
- Prepare supplementary management information packs
- Ad hoc projects as required
This role will also be involved in other long term projects, as required, such as:
- Implementation of a group wide forecasting and planning tool;
- Implementation of a new group consolidation tool to automate monthly management reporting and year-end reporting processes.
The successful candidate will have:
- A professional qualification (ACA/ACCA) with 3+ years PQE including experience in a relevant FP&A role
- Technical knowledge of IFRS/GAAP
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional MS Excel skills; competent and efficient at dealing with data from different sources and proven experience of building forecasting models
- Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen
The salary for this position is up to £65,000-£75,000 DOE

The role will be primarily based in Brighton or London but may require some travel to other offices in the UK and abroad as acquisitions are made.
